With the increasing need to reduces project costs, improve fee margins and preserve natural resources Drawing Services UK Ltd are pleased to offer

"The Paperless Digital Specification"

Although the specification and drawings are prepared in the normal manner, rather than printing for tender issue, documents are digitally saved as pdf files and placed on an interactive CD for posting to the tendering contractors. (may also be emailed - Broadband connection recommended for larger projects)

This not only saves in printing and postage costs but also allows the electrical contractor to view all documentation without the need for specialist software. (For example Autocad or similar drawing packages)

He or she may then print of what they deem necessary in order to prepare his quotation including any contract drawings again saved in "pdf" format protecting the Consultants valuable symbol library.

Drawings, although being in "pdf" format would be correctly scaled in order that the contractor, if not having his own printing facilities can use one of the high street service providers without the usual cad setting up costs associated with printing pure cad files.

All CDs are prepared with all project information identical to a traditional specification, including contact details etc etc and are complete with printed indexed project label.

Generally CD's are dispatched in jewel cases of (unless requested otherwise) and as previously mentioned can be emailed directly to the Contractors if required.

Although preparing complete specifications for projects designed by Drawing Services UK Ltd. we would also be pleased to convert specifications and drawings to the interactive CD format on behalf of Consulting Engineers all works being carried out in the strictest of confidence with a draft being issued for approval prior to the final issue being fixed.
